The General Office of the State Council issued the"Medium and Long Term Plan for the Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases in China(2017-2025)"

Xinhua News Agency,Beijing,February 14 The General Office of the State Council recently issued the Medium and Long term Plan for the Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Diseases in China(2017-2025)(hereinafter referred to as the"Plan"),which deployed the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases in the next 5-10 years,reduced the Disease burden,increased the health expectancy of residents,and worked hard to ensure people's health in an all-round and full cycle.

The Plan points out that we must adhere to the correct policy of hygiene and health work,with improving people's health level as the core,deepening the reform of the medical and health system as the driving force,controlling chronic disease risk factors,building a supportive health environment as the focus,and using health promotion and health management as the means to improve the overall health quality of the people,reduce the risk of high-risk groups,improve the quality of life of patients,and reduce the occurrence of preventable chronic diseases Death and disability promote full life cycle health and lay a solid foundation for promoting the construction of a healthy China.

The"Plan"emphasizes the principle of overall coordination,joint construction and sharing,prevention first,and classified guidance,improving the comprehensive prevention and control mechanism for chronic diseases led by the government,department collaboration,mobilization of society,and participation of the whole people,and establishing a health management model that is self centered,interpersonal assistance,social support,and government guidance.The Plan takes reducing the premature death rate of major chronic diseases as the core goal,and proposes that by 2020 and 2025,the premature death rate of 30-70 year olds due to cardio cerebral Vascular disease,cancer,chronic Respiratory disease and diabetes will be reduced by 10%and 20%respectively compared with 2015,and 16 specific indicators are proposed.
